Vinyasa


Vinyasa yoga connects the breath with a flowing sequence of asanas (postures) to create a dynamic and challenging practice. The flow and moving meditation of the practice empowers each student to explore their full potential while developing strength, flexibility, body awareness and an open clear mind. A deep relaxation follows each practice.

Open: Work at your own pace, previous experience recommended
Level 1: Beginner
Level 2:  Intermediate
Level 3: Advanced

 
Yin Yoga

Yin Yoga:The ancient practice of yin yoga  provides the perfect balance to your active (yang) flow yoga practice and your active life.  An inwardly drawn practice that focusing  on long-held floor poses combined with breath work and meditation, yin yoga goes beneath the superficial muscles to target the joints and dense connective tissues of the body – often in the hips, pelvis, and low back – which are difficult to open and can result in both limited flexibility and range of motion as well as stagnant energy.  This deep practice is gentle, yet intense, helping students not only to open the body, but also to increase range of motion, stimulate energy flow and emotionally we are training an ability to stay with our experience as it is.  The perfect anti-aging class.  All levels welcome.

 
Vinyasa Hot


A vinyasa class in a heated room to allow for deeper stretching and cleansing.

 
Kripalu
The practice of Kripalu Yoga includes not only the physical postures but also the therapeutic breathing techniques, meditation and deep relaxation.  Using the body as a vehicle for accessing our higher selves, Kripalu Yoga will free blocked physical, mental and emotional energy for multi-level healing.  All levels and age groups welcome.
 
Kundalini

Kundalini is the “yoga of awareness” and can release your most creative levels of consciousness bringing yyou increased energy, vitality, health and well being. An ancient, sacred science is incomparable to other forms and works to directly stimulate and revitalize your immune ,nervous, and glandular systems while helping to rid the body of toxins and negative emotions. It is a safe, effective, and powerful technology taught in the tradition of Yogi Bhajan.
 
Gentle Flow
This gentle flow class is recommended for the young and old, injured or just for those who prefer a soothing gentle class that focuses more on the basic exploration of the yoga poses and how to connect them to breath.  Immerse yourself in this relaxing class that moves at a slower pace encouraging time to enjoy the poses and get deep into the stretches.  Meditation and relaxation techniques will also be introduced.  Perfect for stress relief and overall well being.
 
Newbie Yoga

Whether you are brand new to yoga or just want a refresher, this class will explore proper alignment, breathing practices, basic postures and relaxation techniques of vinyasa flow yoga. If you are new to yoga, we recommend you take this class a minimum of 10 sessions before moving into the open classes.

 
Yin Yang Yoga

Provides the benefits of Yin and Yang styles of yoga.  The yin style of long-held passive poses open the body to more flexibility and energy flow while also encouraging a more contemplative non-reactive quality of mind.  This combined with a more active, dynamic yang style of vinyasa flow will help strengthen and invigorate the body and mind.  The class concludes with mediation and relaxation.

 
Community Yoga

All levels of Vinyasa flow class at a reduced rate of $6. We believe that providing yoa is a community service and offering this session is our expression of karma yoga. Enhance your current practice by adding one more day and reap the benefits of spirituality - both mentally and physically.

 
Tween Yoga

This 6-week class for the 9-12 age group will encourage self exploration of postures in a safe, non-competitive environment. By engaging in the practice of yoga, the student will gain a greater sense of body awareness which increases coordination, strength, flexibility and attention to all which in turn builds self esteem.

 
Ultra Gentle Yoga

For the inflexible, older or overweight, this therapeutic class will help to loosen joints and open the body. Ideal for those who suffer from arthritis or poor circulation, thiss nurturing class will provide the participant with increased circulation, flexibility and energy. Perfect for those who want to deepen their ability to relax and recharge.

 
Yoga for Runners

Complement and enhance your running program with this 6-week course focusing on imbalances created in the body by running. Learn techniques to icrease core strength and increase energy efficiency. Experience a variety of poses while targeting key muscle groups used in running.
